My name is Alex Greek, and over the past 13 years I have been enamored with the world of wine, beer, sake, and basically all things alcohol. Since I began this journey in 2011, I've seen many different sides of the industry. I've always wanted to do a deep dive and learn everything I can about each aspect. I was once hesitant of sharing my thoughts with the public, but over many years overcame that fear and decided to just go for it. On that note, I will be your guide through the fascinating world of beverages. Today marks a significant milestone as we launch the inaugural post of Pair + Pour, a dream that has finally materialized into this vibrant platform dedicated to celebrating the artistry behind every plate of food and every bottle of booze.

Our Vision

Pair + Pour was born during a trip with my wife to one of our favorite restaurants back when we lived in Sonoma County. We ordered a Bloody Mary and started thinking about keeping a list of ratings for the best Bloody Mary's we came across, just for fun. After years of keeping the list, losing it, and starting again, we began thinking about how to express our deep love of food and drink. Initially, we wanted it just for us—a diary of our culinary adventures. But then we decided to share our journey with others. And that's how Pair + Pour was created. From the rolling vineyards of Napa Valley to the traditional sakagura of Japan, our mission is going to be to explore the globe through the art of food and drink and doing what we can to share the worlds beautiful diversity with you.

But our journey doesn't end with just pouring and sipping. We're here to explore the symphony of flavors that emerges when we expertly pair these beverages with culinary delights. Our aim? To elevate your tasting experiences, making each meal an adventure.
